Thousands pray at Ganden Sumtsenling Monastery

Thousands of Tibetan Buddhism monks and believers gathered to attend prayers at the Ganden Sumtsenling Monastery in Shangri-La City, Diqing Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture on February 19.




February 19 marked the Buddha-welcoming festival that falls on the 15th day of the first lunar month. In the activity, the congregation offered Hada to the future Buddha and walk around the temple clockwise, holding up a Buddha statue and praying for peace and happiness.
