Spring flowers on show in Shangri-La

The 2019 Shangri-La Spring Flower Show and the Painting and Calligraphy Exhibition opened at the Shangri-La alpine botanical garden on February 20.

More than 350 potted flowers like orchids and camellias from Diqing and Dali were on display, together with 40,000 plus plant seedlings and hundreds of calligraphy and painting works.

The variety and quantity of orchids are the highest ever. The orchid varieties exhibited are mainly traditional fine-leaved lotus petals, among which are the treasures of the lotus, the crown of the lotus, and the white pigment.

During the flower show, local calligraphers and photographers will come to the show for artistic creation.

The Shangri-La flower show will last till March 30.
