Four trucks loaded with relief supplies arrived at the government seat of Yangla Township in Deqin County, Diqing Prefecture recently, following a 330-kilometer journey that lasted for 20 plus hours, including a detour made in Tibet.

Seeing the arrival of sustenance, the flood-stricken people were greatly encouraged, with long-lost smiles appearing on their faces.
Flood from an upstream barrier lake inflicted some Jinsha river-side villages in Diqing from November 14 to 15, and the road directly to Yangla was cut off ever since.
