Today, our country has a total of 1.3 billion people and it is like we are all on a huge bus with the Communist Party of China as the driver. So, each of us on the bus has a responsibility to ensure the safety of the bus and we passengers. We can’t ignore this and pass the buck. This is about patriotism, and it is not something imposed on us by the country or the government. It is a quality we should have as citizens of a country. When we read the sutra scriptures passed down by the saints and sages, we can find that patriotism is always at the core of their ideas.

Now, we are all living in a new era. When we are talking about and practising patriotism, we should support the authority of the Party Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping as the core, support the leadership of the Communist Party of China, love the country, safeguard national unity, defend ethnic unity, and promote social harmony.
