
Recent online pictures show black-necked cranes are wintering at the Napahai Lake nature reserve in northwest Yunnan’s Shangri-La City. There, their graceful flight and movement caught the attention from photographers.


The black-necked crane is a bird species under first-class state protection in China, and the Dashanbao nature reserve in northeast Yunnan’ Zhaotong City is another famed habitat for the birds to winter.
