A mobile application was launched Thursday, providing residents in southwest China's Yunnan Province with more convenient access to government services.
Users are able to handle around 150 services, such as managing household registration, checking endowment insurance, making an appointment to obtain tax registration and paying utility bills anytime anywhere on their phone.
The app, which offers 24-hour online response service to its users, was jointly developed by the Yunnan provincial government and China Construction Bank.
The launch of the app is the latest result of the requirement on the part of the government to upgrade social governance.
