A total of 462,600 trips were made across Diqing Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture in the just-concluded Spring Festival holiday, rising by 2.03 percent year on year, according to local tourism management.
Diqing's tourism revenue amounted to 246.9 million yuan during the week-long holiday that ends Sunday, an annual increase of 5.46 percent.
The Tiger-Leaping Gorge, Pudacuo, Sumtsenling and Balagezong scenic sites are most visited among destinations in the prefecture.
To enhance tourist experience, new rope ways and glass plank roads were added to the Balagezong area, while Pudacuo launched the low-altitude helicopter tour project.
