
Starting on April 22, 2019, China Eastern Airlines Yunnan Company will operate flights connecting Guangzhou with Shangri-La, Diqing Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture.


Following the resumption of the Shenzhen-Shangri-La route on January 10 this year, the Guangzhou-Shangri-La route will be the second "air bridge” linking up Tibetan area and the Guangdong- Hong Kong and Macau great bay area.


The air routes are expected to facilitate tourism, economic and cultural exchanges between the two places.
