The 2019 Shangri-La Horse Racing Festival, also known as the first tourism and culture festival of the place, was unveiled in Shangri-La, northwest Yunnan’s Diqing Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, on June 7. It is a crucial event celebrated annually among Tibetan and other ethnic populations in the area.
Athletes of not merely horse racing, but also archery and crossbow from around the country have delved into this 14-day-long celebration.
Meanwhile, a variety of traditional arts and skills are on display during the festival.
