Customs service spurs mushroom export to Japan
Yunnan Gateway 2019-07-04 12:02:04

79 kilograms of wild matsutake/pine mushrooms grown in Yunnan province were quickly cleared up at the customs service of Kunming Changshui International Airport on July 2, before heading for the demanding Japanese market.

The pine mushrooms represent the first batch of its kind exported to Japan from Yunnan this year, and the quickened customs clearance was done by several measures, including the one-stop window, green channels for special produces and around-the-clock services.

Matsutake, which can be distinguished by its brownish cap and a plump white stem, grows at the roots of red pine trees. One of the notable matsutake harvest zones in Yunnan is in Shangri-La, Diqing Tibetan autonomous prefecture.
