Dashanbao seen through the lens of local photographer

Pictures taken by local photographer Chai Junfeng show the breathtaking Dashanbao scenic area in northeast Yunnan’s Zhaotong prefectural city. It is part the Wumeng Mountains that form the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau in southwest China.

"On clear days, I’m used to strolling in the lush mountains here, watching the cranes that fly over in the sky,” Chai Junfeng said. “I feel blissful to be close to nature, leaving behind the hustle and bustle in the city."

Featuring blue sky, pristine lakes, grassland and black-necked cranes, Dashanbao has drawn in an increasing number of tourists in recent years, especially the enthusiasts in extreme sports like wing-suit flying.
