Starting on September 1, the “Regulations on Traditional Tibetan Medicine of Diqing Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province” will officially go into effect, according to a local press conference on August 23.

The regulations consist of 52 articles in seven chapters, stipulating issues regarding Tibetan medical services, Tibetan medicine protection and development, and Tibetan medicine education, inheritance and scientific research.
