Recent online pictures show two Chinese customs officers examine the fresh litchi from Vietnam at the Hekou check point on June 9.

The Hekou Customs in south Yunnan has seen13,000 tons of litchi imported from Vietnam as of early June, an increase of 12.6% year on year, said Kunming Customs, the management of Hekou.

Fast customs clearance and the popularity of Vietnamese litchi in China contributed to the trade increase.
