"We need took several hours from village to town by walk ten years ago.However,it only takes 20 minutes by car now.The widen road not only brings more convenience for us ,but also changes our life style,"said Dingzhu ,a villager from Ninong Xidang village of Yunling twonship in Deqin County,Diqing Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture.

Ninong Group,located at the foot of Meri Snow mountain ,is  synonymous with remoteness, not far from the county, but the Lancang River Gorge has become a barrier between village with county. From the zip line to the wooden bridge, from the wooden bridge to the reinforced concrete bridge across the river, the villagers have experienced tangible changes. In the past, dirt roads turned into asphalt roads, just like rainbows hanging in canyons. Many families had cars and built inns. Tourists who went in and out of Yubeng and lived in Ninong Group, and villagers could earn money in front of their homes.

Zhalong Group, located along the Lancang River Gorge, used to walk for one day to the county. Most villagers lived in dilapidated earthen palm houses. The roads in the village were covered with mud on rainy days and gray on sunny days. Materials could only be carried in by people on their backs and horses. Many old people never walked out of the mountains all their lives. Nowadays, accessible transportation brings convenience to travel, muddy roads have become clean and flat cement roads, small buildings have sprung up, and cars have arrived at the village from the county in less than an hour with several tons of materials.

"In the past, the roads in our village were muddy, and they would fall if they were not careful. Now, the alleys in the village are paved with cement roads." Nongbu, a villager from Si Village in Yunling Township, said, "Since the patriotic health campaign was launched, the road surface has become cleaner. The village organized villagers to take turns to clean the roads and garbage around the house three times a month. The environment has become clean and the road is good. The days are getting better and better."

The road to all the villages have a huge changes,and the national and provincial highways of Deqin County have developed rapidly.In the past, it used to take two days to walk from Deqin County to Shangri-La City by bus. Asphalt roads were built along the line later, but they were still blocked by heavy snow in winter. Nowadays, tunnels have been drilled directly from the mountainside, and the memory of closing the mountain for several months by heavy snow has become history. In the past 10 years, Deqin's road has been easy, and all the broad roads have become the way for people to get rich.
