The plateau mechanized high-yield potatoes are began sowing in the town of Jiantang Ni Shi village of Shangri-la city in Yunnan's Diqing Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture in April 17th 2023. According to Diqing Mao Lin company technician Guo Fengwei, the plateau temperature difference between day and night, ultraviolet light, conducive to potatoes cultivation, and an average of 4 tons per mu can be produced, double the traditional planting. The plateau mechanized high-yield potatoes is one of the characteristics of farmers and herdsmen to increase income industries.
